Interim Period Approvals Committee

That Councillor Fonseca be elected Chair of the Interim Period Approvals Committee for a term ending November 14, 2022 or until a successor is appointed.

That the agenda for the August 18, 2022 Interim Period Approvals Committee meeting, be approved.

That the project budgets for the Water and Wastewater Capital projects outlined in Appendix I of the report of the Commissioner of Public Works, listed on the August 18, 2022 Interim Period Approvals Committee agenda titled “Request for Budget Increases on Water and Wastewater Construction Projects to be Awarded in 2022” be increased by the amounts referenced therein, to address the current market price fluctuations and price escalations as outlined in the subject report; and That the increases be funded from the Development Charge Reserve fund and Utility Rate Supported Capital Reserve, as outlined in Appendix I of the subject report; and That any excess funding resulting from the increased project budgets be returned to the appropriate reserve or reserve fund, as applicable, upon confirmation of actual tender price results.

That By-law 40-2022 to confirm the proceedings of the Interim Period Approvals Committee at its meeting held on August 18, 2022, and to authorize the execution of documents in accordance with the Region of Peel by-laws relating thereto, be given the required number of readings, taken as read, signed by the Regional Chair and the Regional Clerk and the corporate seal affixed thereto.

That Councillor Medeiros be elected Vice-Chair of the Interim Period Approvals Committee for a term ending November 14, 2022 or until a successor is appointed.
